Guru SDN Margasuka ll

           Siswa dan siswi yang berada dibangku sekolah angkatan tahun 2023 – 2024 adalah generasi anak yang lahir diatas tahun 2010 , yang disebut generasi alpha, dimana anak generasi alpha sangat rentan kecanduan ponsel dan gadget lainnya, mereka adalah generasi dengan mobilitas digital yang sangat tinggi. Anak-anak lebih minat dan tertarik akan kecanggihan gadget dibanding ilmu yang ada dalam buku. Buku terbilang sangat tidak diminati anak karena mungkin dengan membaca waktu itu terasa membosankan, berbeda halnya dengan bermain gadget yang dirasa lebih menyenangkan,seperti  banyaknya aplikasi game yang menarik, tontonan film yang bagus, dan yang lainnya. Keduanya mempunyai hal positif dan negatif masing-masing . Buku sebagai simbol tradisi literatur dan pengetahuan yang telah lama menjadi bagian integral dari peradaban manusia. Sementara gadget terutama perangkat elektronik seperti smartphone dan tablet telah merambah ke dalam setiap aspek kehidupan modern jaman sekarang.

           Minat baca adalah keinginan yang kuat dari seseorang untuk membaca dan menganalisa serta memahami isi bacaan yang ia baca. Faktor internal merupakan faktor yang berasal dari diri siswa yaitu kemampuan membaca, memahami makna yang terkandung dalam bacaan, kurangnya pembiasaan program baca. Sedangkan faktor eksternal merupakan faktor dari lingkungan sekolah, peranan orang tua, dan lingkungan sekitarnya. Keduanya saling mempengaruhi. Hal yang lebih menakutkan tanpa disadari ada stigma ditengah masyarakat khususnya pada pelajar, bahwa anak yang gemar membaca disebut kutu buku dan kurang pergaulan. Sehingga mereka memilih menjaga jarak dengan buku. Lantas bagaimana membuat minat baca anak meningkat? tentu itu tidak bisa instan. Pembiasaan membaca sebaiknya ditanamkan sejak dini , karena untuk merubah prilaku dan kebiasaan seseorang itu sangat tidak mudah. Seseorang yang dari kecil tidak pernah dibiasakan untuk membaca oleh orang tuanya akan kecil kemungkinannya untuk memiliki minat baca, bahkan asuhan orang tua sekarang agar anak tidak rewel anak diberikan gadget agar tidak mengganggu aktivitas  orang tuanya, tentu itu adalah hal yang salah. Orang tua mengenyampingkan kebenaran akan teori bahwa pola asuh orang tualah yang akan menjadi kebiasaan anaknya kelak.

           Perkembangan teknologi bak buah simalakama , disatu sisi sangat menguntungkan dengan kemudahan dan kepraktisan yang ditawarkan. Namun disisi lain ,membuat minat baca anak tidak ada. Tentu ini tantangan nyata dan serius. Lantas siapa yang paling bertanggung jawab akan hal ini? Tentu orang tua dan guru harus saling berkomunikasi dalam membersamai perkembangan anaknya, keduanya mempunyai peranan penting dan andil dalam perkembangan minat baca anak. Tidak hanya memantau saja, hal yang paling penting yaitu memberikan stimulus, memfasilitasi, dan mengajak langsung anak membaca bacaan yang diminatinya.

           Di SDN Margasuka ll, peranan guru dalam meningkatkan minat baca anak sudah digalakkan. Yaitu program sabu sagu, sabuku saminggu. Sehari dalam seminggu anak-anak berkumpul bersama untuk membaca buku bacaan sesuai minat bacanya, seperti bacaan cerita pendek, cerita hewan, legenda, cerita tokoh para pahlawan, dan masih banyak lagi. Anak dipersilahkan memilih buku yang ia sukai, dimulai dengan suatu hal yang ia sukai tentu kegiatan itu akan menyenangkan baginya. Untuk membentuk persepsi bahwa membaca itu menyenangkan , guru tidak memaksakan anak untuk menyelesaikan bacaannya dalam sehari. Anak diberikan waktu seminggu untuk menyelesaikan bacaannya. Untuk anak kelas bawah, capaian yang dituju yaitu kelancaran dalam membaca. Sedangkan untuk kelas atas capaiannya yaitu setelah selesai membaca setiap anak menceritakan kembali isi buku yang ia baca dengan bahasanya sendiri, menyebutkan nama tokoh, menceritakan karakter tokohnya, menceritakan kejadian yang bermakna, dan mendiskusikan hal-hal positif yang bisa didapat dari bacaan tersebut. Secara alami anak akan tertarik untuk belajar membaca kala mencapai tahap perkembangan tertentu. Guru fokus pada tujuan bahwa anak harus mengenal dan mencintai budaya baca sejak kecil. Buku adalah jendela dunia, jargon ini tak lekang oleh waktu. Semakin banyak membaca, semakin banyak ilmu dan wawasan yang didapat. Anak yang terbiasa membaca buku sejak kecil tentu akan lebih banyak menguasai kosakata dan lebih mudah memahami isi bacaan. Anak yang terbiasa membaca secara mandiri tentu akan lebih mudah menangkap pelajaran, isi bacaan, dan lebih tahu banyak hal, sehingga mampu mencapai skor akademik yang lebih baik. Saat minat baca anak sudah tinggi, orang tua dan guru harus berkomitmen untuk tetap menjaga mood anak dalam minat membacanya. Bagi orang tua, dirumah hindari anak mengkonsumsi gadget yang terlalu lama. Berikan jadwal anak boleh memegang gadget hanya sesekali saja, intensitasnya tidak boleh terlalu sering.

           Sejauh ini peranan guru di SDN Margasuka ll dalam meningkatkan minat baca anak masih berjalan untuk selalu menemani dan membimbing peserta didiknya. Besar harapan guru agar didalam hati anak tertanam rasa cintanya akan dunia literasi, rasa haus akan membaca saat ada waktu senggang, rasa selalu ingin tahu banyak hal dengan membaca buku, dan menjadikan buku sebagai gerbang untuk mencapai kesuksekannya kelak.
