Wujudkan Sumedang Simpati dengan Menanamkan Kearifan Lokal pada Anak Sejak Dini

“Barang siapa yang menghendaki kebaikan di dunia maka dengan ilmu. Barang siapa yang menghendaki kebaikan di akhirat maka dengan ilmu. Barang siapa yang menghendaki keduanya maka dengan ilmu.” (HR. Bukhori dan Muslim). Dari pendapat di atas menunjukan bahwa pendidikan salah satu modal utama untuk mencapai banyak hal. Tentu saja jika dilakukan dengan niat dan hati yang lurus. Hal serupa juga di tegaskan oleh sahabat Nabi, yaitu Ali bin Abi Thalib RA yang menyampaikan bahwa didiklah anak-anakmu sesuai dengan zamannya. Maksudnya adalah tetap mendidik anak-anak dengan ilmu pengetahuan yang sekarang sedang berkembang.

Di era kemajuan teknologi serta komunikasi global yang semakin canggih dan kompleks ini kadang orang tua mengabaikan aktivitas anak dengan lingkungannya tanpa pengawasan orang tua, yang justru membuat anak bebas melakukan hal-hal yang mereka inginkan tanpa menimbang baik buruknya. Media massa yang serba canggih dan didukung oleh kemajuan teknologi yang sangat pesat, merupakan narasumber informasi yang lebih sarat bagi anak dibandingkan informasi yang diperoleh dari orang tua atau mungkin bahkan gurunya. Maka masuknya informasi tersebut sulit dibendung dan dibatasi pada anak. Adanya gaya hidup yang konsumtif, berbagai masalah sosial seperti kenakalan remaja, korupsi, dan berbagai tindakan kriminal lainnya dimasyarakat, merupakan tanda bahwa anak tidak mempunyai kecerdasan maupun keterampilan sosial dalam menghadapi dunia sosialnya. Peran guru sangatlah penting untuk membentuk pribadi, pola pikir, dan cara pandang anak terhadap hal-hal apa saja yang telah mereka temui diluar sana tanpa pengawasan orang tua dan guru. Mengapa kearifan lokal harus ditanamkan sejak anak usia dini? Menurut Putu Oka Ngakan kearifan lokal adalah tata nilai atau perilaku hidup masyarakat (seseorang) dengan lingkungan tempat tinggalnya secara arif yang patut secara terus menerus dijadikan pegangan hidup. Karena penanaman kearifan lokal pada anak usia dini akan membuat mereka terbiasa hidup dengan ajaran dari guru nya hingga anak dewasa, bahkan saat nanti anak sudah mempunyai keluarganya sendiri kearifal lokal akan terus mereka tanamkan pada generasi penerusnya.kearifan lokal yang tercermin pada budaya kita, perlu ditumbuhkan melalui pengenalan budaya setempat, yang menganut nilai-nilai kesopanan, kebersamaan, gotong royong, saling menolong dengan sesama, dan tenggang rasa.

Peran guru tidak hanya mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan semata, namun juga membentuk kepribadian yang baik. Pendidikan karakter, moral dan budaya sebenarnya sudah dirintis oleh Ki Hadjar Dewantara dengan tri pusat pendidikan yang dimulai dari lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah, dan lingkungan sosial. Lingkungan sekolah (guru) saat ini memiliki peran sangat besar pembentukan karakter siswa. Peran guru dalam dunia pendidikan modern sekarang ini semakin kompleks, tidak sekedar sebagai pengajar semata, pendidik akademis tetapi juga merupakan pendidik karakter, moral dan budaya bagi siswanya. Sekolah merupakan wahana pengembang pendidikan karakter bagi peserta didik. Guru sebagai pendidik mempunyai tanggung jawab yang sangat besar dalam menghasilkan generasi yang berkarakter, berbudaya, dan bermoral. Guru merupakan teladan bagi siswa dan mempunyai peran yang sangat besar dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Guru tidak hanya menguasai dibidang Akademik tetapi juga pendidikan karakter yang akan menjadi dasar dalam pembentukan karakter berkualitas akan membantu anak bangsa, yang tidak mengabaikan nilai-nilai sosial seperti toleransi, kebersamaan gotong royong, saling membantu  dan menghormati. Guru bisa menjadi sumber inpirasi dan motivasi peserta didiknya. Sikap dan perilaku seorang guru sangat membekas dalam diri siswa, sehingga ucapan, karakter dan kepribadian guru menjadi cermin siswa. Dengan demikian guru memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam menghasilkan generasi yang berkarakter, berbudaya, dan bermoral.

Setiap guru menginginkan semua anak didiknya berhasil di masa yang akan datang dengan bekal kearifan lokal yang sudah  tertanam dalam diri anak. Anak-anak merupakan aset masa depan bangsa yang harus mendapat perhatian dalam peningkatan kualitas. Aset bangsa tersebut harus dipersiapkan dengan baik agar dapat bersaing secara global di kemudian hari. Keterlibatan semua pihak menjadi kunci keberhasilan pembangunan anak-anak dengan selalu menjungjung tinggi nilai kearifan lokal, agar ketika dewasa mereka terhindar dari masalah sosial seperti kenakalan remaja, korupsi, dan berbagai tindakan kriminal lainnya dimasyarakat. Searah dengan visi kota Sumedang yakni “Terwujudnya masyarakat Sumedang yang Sejahtera, Agamis, Maju, Profesional, dan Kreatif (SIMPATI)”. Nilai keraifan lokal yang guru tanamkan sejak dini bisa menjadi modal utama bagi anak dalam kehidupannya dan juga cerminan kepibadian anak. Saat anak tumbuh dewasa mereka pasti ingin menjadi kebanggaan keluarga, orang tua, dan tentu daerah tempat ia terlahir. Dengan bekal ilmu agama yang baik tentu anak akan menjadi pribadi  yang baik pula, menjadi orang yang kreatif dan profesional sesuai dengan bidang yang dimilikinya, orang yang maju dan tentu akan mampu menyejahterakan kehidupannya dan orang-orang sekitar. Semua prestasi dan segudang kesuksesannya bertujuan untuk memajukan daerah kelahirannya. Oleh karena itu  guru sangat berperan besar dalam masa depan anak dengan membekalinya berbagai macam disiplin ilmu.
