Semua Bukan Kebetulan (TBM Pojok Baca Mustika)

Setelah lulus SMP tadinya saya ingin ke SMA terdekat dari rumah, Karena berharap banyak untuk melanjutkan ke sekolah Kebidanan. Ternyata pas di kelas III SMP, perusahaan tempat Bapak saya bekerja, mengalami ‘devisit’ yang otomatis membuat saya harus memikirkan  kembali sekolah lanjutan, supaya  bisa langsung bekerja dan butuh waktu sebentar untuk pembiayaan dari orangtua.

Melihat banyak nya teman-teman yang mendaftar ke SPG, ujug-ujug jorojoy keinginan mengikuti mereka. Terfikirkan, jika melanjutkan ke sana nantinya bisa langsung bekerja tidak usah merepotkan orang tua lagi.  Sayang sekali saya ketinggalan info untuk mendaftar secara kolektif, jadi ya segalanya harus dilakukan sendiri. Mulai dari daftar dan segala sesuatu nya. Kebayang kan, harus beberengbengan? Mana dari kecamatan lagi. Dan saat itu kendaraan yang bisa diandalkan adalah angkutan umum.

Ternyata Allah sangat sayang, saya diterima di SPGN 2 Bandung. Itu adalah sekolah keguruan pavorit yang letaknya persis di belakang Gedung Sate.

Setelah lulus, IKIP (sekarang UPI) Bandung, menerima saya menjadi mahasiswinya.

Satu kebiasaan yang tidak terlewatkan adalah, jika IKAPI mengadakan pameran buku, selalu saya kunjungi setiap hari, baca-baca  pada stand yang berbeda, sampai hari terakhir pameran tersebut. dan pasti diusahakan untuk membeli satu buah buku di setiap penghujung moment. Sebab selain ada lelang buku, juga suka ada kuis-kuis berhadiah seputar stand.

Ternyata mengunjungi pameran buku tersebut menjadi kebiasaan dan kebutuhan sejak tahun 1983 hingga sekarang.

Dari kegiatan mengunjungi pameran buku, membacanya di tempat, lalu selalu membeli satu buku, koleksi buku di rumah banyak sekali, isi nya beragam, mulai dari ilmu pengetahuan, kesenian, keterampilan, oto biografi, bacaan untuk anak-anak, hingga hal-hal umum ada.

Sekarang di pojok belakang rumah, ada sebuah lemari yang dipenuhi buku, bisa dibaca oleh siapa dan kapan pun.
